Legacy Equine-Assisted Services NFP is a nonprofit organization that provides equine-assisted therapy programs for special needs children, adults and their families, as well as PTSD learning to cope programs to Veterans at no cost.
The Legacy Ranch utilizes a variety of therapies and modalities to support individuals and their families in their physical, developmental, social and emotional growth and journey.
Research has shown that supportive equine therapy has a drastic improvement in a person’s ability to process anxiety and stress. For those with physical limitations, The Legacy Ranch therapists work in a step by step approach with the individual to break the barrier of being able to get on a horse and make a connection that they never thought they could.
The generosity of our donors have helped to make The Legacy Ranch a reality.
Your support directly impacts:
• Scholarships for children and adults with special needs (whether physical, mental, or emotional) to participate in equine-assisted therapeutic programs.
• The purchase, procurement and training of therapeutic horses.
• The boarding needs and care of The Legacy Ranch herd.
• The purchase and installation of specialized equipment and infrastructure allowing for full facility and riding accessibility for those with paralysis and supportive mobility needs.
- Additional necessary items needed to build out our new facility next door (Wheel chair lift, bathrooms, fencing)
Please consider a general donation, or one of the following high impact pledges:
- Friend of a Legacy Horse: Provide veterinary and farrier care (hoof trims) for the horses. Also includes recognition of your annual contribution on the horse's stall of your choice and your photo/logo posted here, on our website and social media channels. $100/month: $1,200 year
- Feed a Legacy Horse: Provide nutritional care, including supplements, hay and grain. Also includes one riding lesson and/or grooming session with your horse each month and recognition of your annual sponsorship on the horse's stall of your choice and your photo/logo posted here, on our website and social media channels. $250/month: $3,000/year
- Sponsor a Therapeutic Legacy Rider: Provide a rider in need with a therapeutic lesson each week. Also includes one riding lesson and/or grooming session with your horse each month and recognition of your annual sponsorship on the horse's stall of your choice and your photo/logo posted here, on our website and social media channels. $350/month: $4,200/year
- Shelter a Legacy Horse: Provide the hosing expense for the horse of your choice. Also includes four (4) riding lessons and/or grooming sessions per month and recognition of your annual sponsorship on the horse's stall of your choice and your photo/logo posted here, on our website and social media channels. $500/month: $6,000/year
